LAURINBURG, NC |Â Â The Truett McConnell University women's basketball team could not keep up with the hot shooting of the St. Andrew's knights in a 43-78 contest Thursday evening in Laurinburg, NC. The lady bears are now 2-7 on the season and 0-6 in conference play.Â
The two teams battled the first half until St. Andrews received momentum in the 3rd quarter outscoring the bears 24-5. With the knight's receiving a hot hand in the 3rd quarter, eventually allowed them to sail to an easy victory. The lady bears finished shooting 26.5% from the field, 22.7% from the 3-point line, and 63.2% from the free throw line. TMU was out rebounded 27-56 by St. Andrews.

Tiek Fields stated, "We are still in the process of figuring ourselves out. We show signs of what we can do, but we have to keep working to get better."Â

Anna Murr with twelve points. Mikayla Miles trailed Murr finishing with eleven.Â
The Lady Bears will search to find their first conference victory this upcoming Saturday Dec. 2 back home in Cleveland, GA. Game time begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Bearcave.Â
