St. Andrews paces past TMU Women's Basketball

LAURINBURG, NC |    The Truett McConnell University women's basketball team could not keep up with the hot shooting of the St. Andrew's knights in a 43-78 contest Thursday evening in Laurinburg, NC. The lady bears are now 2-7 on the season and 0-6 in conference play.

The two teams battled the first half until St. Andrews received momentum in the 3rd quarter outscoring the bears 24-5. With the knight's receiving a hot hand in the 3rd quarter, eventually allowed them to sail to an easy victory. The lady bears finished shooting 26.5% from the field, 22.7% from the 3-point line, and 63.2% from the free throw line. TMU was out rebounded 27-56 by St. Andrews.
