GAINESVILLE, GA. | The Truett McConnell women's basketball team fell on the road to AAC foe Brenau University Thursday night 47-66. The Lady Bears are now 0-2 in AAC play and 2-3 on the season.
TMU fell behind early 0-11 but fought back to end the first quarter only down two points, 13-15. The lady bears had trouble finding points in the second quarter, being outscored 9-20 to Brenau. The Tigers had extended their lead 13 points going into halftime, 22-35. TMU was down as much as 22 points in the 3rd quarter, but competed to cut the lead to only twelve after going on a run by senior
Anna Murr finishing strong in the paint. The lady Bears ultimately fell after the tigers hit two big threes to stretch the lead and finish the game for a win.
Bralise Reese lead the lady bears offensively finishing with 13 points against the tigers.
Madison Curtis also pitched in with a 9 piece while
Anna Murr contributed with 8.
The lady bears will resume AAC play back home in the Bear Cave on Saturday Nov. 18th against Montreat College. Tip off is scheduled for 2:00 pm with the men's game following.
