MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN. (Nov. 14, 2017)Â Â Â Women's Basketball Falls Short in AAC Opening Match Against Milligan
The Lady Bears traveled to Milligan College Tuesday night for their first AAC match-up of the season. The Women's Basketball team fell in an early 26-12 hole in the first quarter and ultimately fell to the Lady Buffaloes 86-51. The Lady Bears are now 2-2 for the season and 0-1 in AAC play.Â

Tiek Fields said, "It was a long trip for our young group. Milligan is a talented group, and they came out and competed at a high level. Lucky for us it's still early in the year and we will continue to improve this season."
Despite going back and forth for the first four minutes, the Buffs made an early lead in the first, and they never looked back. The Buffs went on a 9-0 run to finish out the quarter, and they led by double digits the rest of the game.Â
Bralise Reese led the Bears in scoring with 19 points on the night. She was the only Bear to reach double digits in scoring. Following Reese,
Sierra Kendall and
Mikayla Miles both recorded nine points and
Madison Curtis had eight. Kendall also led the Bears in rebounds with eight.Â
The Lady Bears will look to improve this upcoming Thursday as they travel to Gainesville, Ga. to take on Brenau University. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.Â
