CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. | The 14th-ranked Campbellsville Lady Tigers scored three straight goals to open the second half on their way to a 3-1 win over the Truett McConnell Bears Tuesday afternoon.
In the 46th minute of play, Lakin Walls opened the scoring for the Lady Tigers, and Taylor Beals scored nine minutes later to expand the Campbellsville lead to 2-0.
After another Lady Tiger goal in the 58th minute, Truett McConnell broke through with the first goal of the season.
Miranda Powell broke past the Lady Tiger back line and scored over the keeper to bring the game to its final score of 3-1.
The Bears will step outside of regular season play one more time in exhibition action on August 30 when club team LSA comes to the TMU Soccer Complex for a 6 p.m. matchup. Admission is free to the event.
