(TMSports) – This weekend, the Lady Bears Volleyball Team traveled to Montgomery, Ala. to participate in the Faulkner Invitational. In the first match against Freed-Hardeman, The Lady Bears lost in just three sets. Hannah Simpson finished with eight kills and Jessica Vanegas recorded two aces. The Lady Bears fought hard against their next opponent Webber International, but was not able to sustain their leads. Tarryn Long finished with ten kills, and a hitting percentage of .381.
 
On Saturday, the Lady Bears dropped a match in three sets to the Southeastern University, Fire. Following Southeastern University game, the Lady Bears faced-off with the Spring Hill College, Badgers. The Lady Bears started the first set with a (8-4) lead before the badgers went on a run and finished the game (16-25).  After losing the first set, the Lady Bears retaliated to win the second set (25-21). The Bears lost the last two sets (15-25) and (13-25). Tarryn Long and Jessica Vanegas had eight and six kills, respectively. Hannah Simpson, Brittany Foster, Jessica Epting, and Morgan Harris each finished with five kills.
