Cody Bond

Bond is entering his third year as the head wrestling coach in 2026-27.

Bond has led the wrestling team to AAC Championship appearances in both years as head coach, receiving votes in the NAIA national rankings multiple times in the process. Under his tenure, the Bears submitted three wrestlers to the 2026 NAIA National Championships in Tyler Ramos, Nate Napolitano and Phillip Terrell, with Napolitano recording two victories in the tournament. He has also guided the program to 18 AAC All-Academic Team recognitions.

Bond joined the TMU family after wrestling at Appalachian State University for seven years, where he earned his spot as a four-year starter in the 149 and 157 weight classes. 
 
The Madison County native is a two-time NCAA National Championships qualifier, along with a third qualification in his career as an alternate. After finishing 2-2 at the 2024 championships, Bond was ranked in the top 16 in the nation. 
 
Bond is an NCAA Academic All-American with an undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education and earned his Master of Science in Higher Education with Focus in Leadership in 2024.
