Austin Bennett joined the Truett McConnell Athletics staff as Assistant Director of Athletic Marketing and Communications in July 2026.

Bennett entered this role after three years of experience as a student worker for TMU Sports Information. He served as the lead play-by-play broadcaster for the university during that time, covering multiple AAC championship games and an NAIA National Tournament in the process. Bennett also served a full year as an intern with the Georgia Swarm prior to entering this position. Additionally, he has experience managing independent coverage of sports on social media, with professional athlete endorsements.

Bennett grew up in Cumming, Georgia, and is a graduate of North Forsyth High School, where he competed in cross country and soccer, qualifying for state playoffs in both sports.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Communication at Truett McConnell University in 2026, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Sports Management.
