High School: Sugrue played varsity volleyball and basketball for the Lake Nona Lady Lions from 2011-2015. She was named team captain her senior year season. She began playing club at the nationally recognized Orlando Volleyball Academy (OVA) in 2013.  There, she led her team (OVA-17NR) in blocks for the season.  Her team won Gold at the Volleyfest at Palm Beach and Silver medals at the MLK Invitational and the Presidents' Day Super Showcase.  After her club season, Wyatt played beach for OVA where she and teammate, Marie Mendez (Ava Maria University), qualified for Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Nationals and the Junior Olympics by winning Regionals.

Why I Chose TMU: Since I am far from home, it was extremely important for me to find an environment that made me feel like I was at home. The people here automatically did that, so it was an easy choice.
