Meagan Taylor is entering her fourth year as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Truett McConnell. The daughter of Colby Taylor, who has served as a coach for a variety of sports over the last 30 years, did not have to look far for her inspiration to enter the coaching ranks. “My father inspires me to be the best coach I can be and has always emphasized making character building a priority among the players,” said Taylor.
Taylor graduated from Truett McConnell in 2015 with a degree in World Missions, and again in 2018 with a Master of Arts in Theology. During her undergraduate career, she served as a mainstay for the women’s soccer team, winning numerous awards during her tenure as a collegiate player.
Taylor received the following honors during her illustrious collegiate career:
2013 AAC Third-Team All-Conference
2014 AAC First-Team All-Conference
Semi-finalist for 2015 John Wooden Citizenship Award
NAIA Champions of Character Award 2013-2015
2015 Women's Soccer MVP
2015 Female Athlete of the Year
Away from the field, Taylor likes to spend her time doing music ministry and cheering on a variety of sports teams she favors, such as the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta United FC, and the Denver Broncos.
Taylor currently resides in Cornelia, Georgia.
