Sarah Newton is entering her first year as the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach.
Newton graduated from Loganville High School in 2016, where she was a three sport athlete. Newton continued her education at Truett McConnell University, where she graduated with a degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and the Great Commission in 2021.
The TMU alum is familiar with the Appalachian Athletic Conference and competing schools since she was on the TMU Softball team from 2016-2021. During her time on the Softball team, in 2018, the Lady Bears earned the program’s first-ever titles of AAC Regular Season Champions, Tournament Champions, NAIA National Top 25 Poll and made their first-ever appearance in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round.
She is currently serving TMU as the Academic Program Specialist in the Pilgram Marpeck School of STEM and is pursuing her masters in Environmental and Biological Sciences through Troy University.
Newton currently resides in Mount Airy, Georgia where she lives with her husband, Aaron.
