Junior Year: Sara started all 48 games her junior year leading the team in batting average, runs scored, doubles, homeruns and runs batted in.  During her campaign Sara broke not only the single season homerun record, but the career homerun record as well.  In conference play, Sara boasted a .311 batting average.  During games against Thomas University and Columbia College, Stites blasted two homeruns in each contest.   The homeruns against Columbia College came during the conference tournament quarter final game which boosted the Lady Bears to the semi-final game.  Stites was named to the All-Tournament and received the Lady Bears Most Valuable Player award.

Sophomore Year: Stites lead the Lady Bears in batting average, hitting .421, recording 51 hits, 31 runs batted in, she scored 25 times, while only striking out 16 times in 121 at bats.  Sara hit eight-for-ten against Fisher College in a four game series.  She recorded her first homerun of the season against Southern Wesleyan. Against Montreat College Stites was a perfect four-for-four.
