Sophomore Year: McNear saw action in 27 games…He was named to the All-Academic Team for the AAC…McNear scored a season high eight points two times against Allen (11/1/2014) and Bluefield (2/11/2015)…He also pulled eight rebounds in those games.
Freshman Year: McNear played in 22 contests and started six games…McNear tallied a season-high 11 points on two occasions versus Ppoint (12/4/13) and Carver Bible (12/14/13)…He recorded a double-double against Carver Bible (12/14/13) scoring 11 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.
High School: McNear averaged 21 points per game as a senior at Arlington Christian School … He was a four year varsity lettermen … McNear’s squad was coached by Greg Canon … His senior year he helped lead the team to a 20-6 record … McNear earned GISA AA All-Region honors three times … He was named to the 2013 GISA AA All-State team his senior year ... McNear netted a career high 34 points … He played in the GISA AA All-Star game in South Carolina … McNear was named his squads Most Improved Player his junior year … He was named GISA Male Athlete Player of The Week … McNear was a member of the National Beta Club, National Honor Society and National Society of High School Scholars … He received a National Scholar Athlete Award by maintaining a 3.7 GPA over his high school career.
