High School: He scored 1,315 career points at Covenant Academy … Loyd played three years of varsity for the Covenant Academy squad, coached by David Raines … In 2010-11, Covenant Academy High  School was 22-4, earned region champs and reached the GISA Class AA Final Four … In 2009-10 Covenant Academy High  School went 23-3 and reached the GISA Class A Final Four … Loyd was voted as three time GISA All-Region … He also earned GISA All-State Recognition all three years of his varsity career … Loyd was voted the 2010-11 GISA All-Middle Georgia Player of the Year … As a senior he averaged 16.3 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals per game.??
