CLEVELAND, Ga. – No. 6 Truett McConnell women's soccer continues Appalachian Athletic Conference play tomorrow afternoon with a midweek game at Bryan scheduled for 5 p.m.
 
Since 2013, the Lady Bears and Lions have faced off 14 times, with the former winning 13 times and losing just once. TMU has a nine-game winning streak over Bryan which includes a 6-1 victory in Cleveland last season. 2017 was the last time the Lions claimed victory in the series with a 1-0 win in Dayton.
 
Bryan currently sits at 0-7-1 overall on the season with an 0-4 mark in AAC play. It last played an away game at Reinhardt, which resulted in a 3-0 loss. The one draw cameo n Saturday, Sept. 19 with a 0-0 score at Bob Jones. The Lions are tied with Johnson for the last-place spot in the conference standings.
 
Ruth Cook features the top offensive threat for Bryan with three goals for six total points. She has three of the four total goals scored by the team in the 2026 season. Goalkeeper Emory Andrews has held up for the Lions this season, saving 92 of 108 shots faced for a .852 save percentage in seven games started.
 
TMU enters the match as the top team in the AAC, winning the first four games in shutout fashion. In a perfect month of September, Truett has picked up wins over No. 22 Georgia Gwinnett (1-0) and (RV) Tennessee Wesleyan (2-0). The team will try for its 28^th straight regular season AAC win.
 
Isabella Hodson leads the team with six goals on the season including a duo in a pivotal win over TWU. She totals 13 points through eight games with her goals plus an assist. Joanna Funes is also a threat with three goals, two of which have been game winners.
 
Senior Erin Ward has led a back-end group which has not allowed a goal since the month of August. Overall, the Lady bears have outscored opponents 16-3 and 12-0 in conference games.
