CLEVELAND, Ga. – Truett McConnell men's soccer (5-1-2 overall, 4-0-0 AAC) hits the road to compete against the Bryan College Lions (1-4-1 overall, 1-1-1 AAC) in Dayton, Tenn. on Wednesday. 
 
The fixture will be the 15^th meeting between the Bears and Lions, a series in which Bryan has held the advantage with a 7-4-3 record against Truett McConnell, although TMU was victorious in the most recent meeting with a 5-0 home win. Four of the five goal scorers from that match are featured in the Bears' 2026 roster.
 
Truett McConnell is off to a historical start to conference play, recording four wins in their first four Appalachian Athletic Conference games for the first time in program history. The Bears also registered their first home ranked win since 2017 on Saturday with their defeat of the No. 19 Union Commonwealth University Bulldogs.
 
Bryan College looks to get back on the right foot after a 2-0 road loss to Reinhardt. The Lions were undefeated in conference play before Saturday's defeat, recording a draw against the Milligan Buffaloes who are receiving votes in the NAIA national rankings and a one goal win at home against Pikeville. Bryan presents a balanced attack offensively, with both Zeke Lawyer and Ivan Kalynovskyi leading the squad in scoring with two goals apiece. Keeper Santiago Morales has anchored the defense with 36 saves through six starts.
 
The Bears are tasked with defending their five-game win streak and perfect 4-0-0 conference record. Roman Reynolds, Pablo Farrona and Jovica Lazarevic have fueled the fire that is the Truett McConnell offense through eight games. Reynolds has contributed a goal and/or assist in all but one match this season, Lazarevic recently finished a stretch of five straight games with a goal and leads the conference in goals (nine) and total points (20), and Farrona is tied for first in the NAIA in assists (eight) and AAC in shots (28).
