CLEVELAND, Ga. – Truett McConnell women's soccer continues Appalachian Athletic Conference play Wednesday afternoon with a 4:30 p.m. home match vs. Columbia College at the TMU Soccer Complex.
 
The Lady Bears are coming off a 4-0 win in their conference opener vs. Montreat last Saturday on the road. The team aims for its 25^th consecutive AAC win in the regular season.
 
TMU holds an 11-4 advantage over the Koalas since 2013 which includes nine straight wins in the series dating back to 2017. Last season, the Lady Bears took home a 3-0 victory in Columbia.
 
The Koalas are 3-1 on the year but dropped their most recent contest in a 4-0 shutout at Tennessee Wesleyan. The four goals scored against were the first four allowed by the team this season after three shutout wins to start.
 
Gwenna Townsend leads the way for CC with six goals on the season with an assist, resulting in 13 overall points. She has produced 15 total shots with 11 shots on target and has a game winner in 2026. Kinzy Cohen and Malia Kincaid also have multiple goals through four matches.
 
For the Lady Bears, Isabella Hodson is the main threat with two goals on the season and an assist. She was named the week four AAC Offensive Player of the Week for her three-point performance against Montreat. Second in points for the team is freshman Agathe Braud, who scored her first career goal in the season opener vs. SCAD-Savannah.
 
At goalie, freshman Noa del Rio has made three starts and possesses a save percentage of .727. Leire Rodriguez Najera has also seen significant time in the position, allowed no goals in 90 total minutes.
