CLEVELAND, Ga. – No. 7 Truett McConnell women's soccer begins Appalachian Athletic Conference play with a road matchup this weekend at Montreat on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. The game will be part one of a doubleheader between the two schools as the men's team plays following the women's game.
 
In the series, the Lady Bears have a 14-0-2 record over the Cavaliers since 2013 and have won eight consecutive matchups. In the two games last season between TMU and Montreat, the former took the first match 3-1 and knocked the Cavaliers out of the AAC tournament in the quarterfinal 2-0.
 
Montreat enters the weekend having only played one match, a 4-0 defeat to the hands of then No. 22 Georgia Gwinnett College. In the game, goalkeeper Anna Weissenfluh tallied 15 saves on 19 shots faced, good for a save percentage of .789.
 
In 2025, the team finished with an overall record of 8-9-1 which included a 6-6-1 record in conference play and a 4-3-1 mark at home. They won 3-0 in the opening round of the AAC tournament overall Spartanburg Methodist before being ousted by the Lady Bears in the quarterfinal.
 
For Truett, three players in Isabella Hodson, Peyton Brooks and Agathe Braud have recorded two points. Through three matches with each having a goal scored. Erin Ward and Isabelle Allen have also reached the point tally with each collecting an assist. At goalie, Noa del Rio has taken the starting job for the moment, being the headliner in the past two matches and having a .727 save percentage through three matches overall.
