CLEVELAND, Ga. – Truett McConnell University men's soccer opens Appalachian Athletic Conference play as they travel to Black Mountain, N.C. to take on the Montreat College Cavaliers at Pulliam Stadium on Saturday.
 
Tomorrow's fixture serves as the fourth straight road contest for the Bears, a stretch that has produced a variety of results as they recorded one win, tie and loss each during their three previous trips.
 
The Cavaliers are one of the longest tenured opponents of the Bears, with 11 total meetings dating as far back as 2013. TMU holds a 7-3-1 record against Montreat College with a current two game win streak. 
 
Truett McConnell hopes to continue to build momentum after claiming an impressive first win of the season last Friday. A total of 10 goals were tallied against Talladega College, with notable contributions from Hudson Reynolds (three goals, one assist) and Pablo Farrona (two goals, three assists) as well as a clean sheet from Jakob Hendrickson.
 
Montreat College will look to defend their undefeated 2026 record (2-0-1) against the Bears after recording wins against the University of Toccoa Falls and Warren Wilson College. Sophomore Emmanuel Ntimeh has been the leader offensively for the Cavaliers, claiming the most points (eight) on the roster through three goals and two assists. He is already just one goal shy of matching his total from the 2025 season.
