CLEVELAND, Ga. – Truett McConnell women's volleyball has received the 2026 American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, the organization announced Thursday.
 
The AVCA annually recognizes teams and programs who excel on the court and in the classroom. To receive the award, teams must maintain a grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale throughout the academic year.
 
TMU was one of 1,432 collegiate and high school programs to receive the honor. It is the first time in program history that the team was named on the Team Academic list. The Lady Bears were also one of 62 NAIA schools recognized by the AVCA.
