(Feb. 17, 2026) – On Tuesday, the Truett McConnell University Softball team hosted Agnes Scott College in a non-conference doubleheader where the Lady Bears powered to a 12-1 win in game one before completing the sweep with an 8-3 victory in game two. TMU rises to an overall record of 8-2.Â

GAME ONE
TMU 12 – ASC 1
The Lady Bears wasted no time taking control in the opener, erupting for four runs in the first inning.
Avery Walker sparked the rally with an RBI double before
Rylee Walker launched a two-run home run to extend the early lead. TMU continued to apply pressure in the third inning, breaking the game open with an eight-run frame including a R. Walker grand slam as the Lady Bears drove ahead 12-0. Agnes Scott managed its lone run in the fourth inning on an RBI single, but TMU's dominant start secured the run-rule victory, 12-1.

R. Walker led the offense with two home runs, including a grand slam, and six RBIs. A. Walker added a multi-hit performance with an RBI double, while
Emme Souter,
Morgan Kacalek, and
Ashley Fitts each contributed RBIs in the third inning.
Gabby Hughes earned the win in the circle, allowing just one run across four strong innings.

TMU 8 – ASC 3
Game two featured a tighter contest early, with the Scotties striking first in the opening inning. TMU answered in the third to even the score before the Scotties briefly regained the lead in the fourth. The Lady Bears responded immediately, tying the game on a two-RBI play from R. Walker. TMU seized momentum in the sixth inning with a four-run surge. Souter delivered a sacrifice fly to give the Lady Bears the lead,
Reagan Chizek followed with a two-RBI single, and
Morgan Kacalek and
Grace Folds each added RBI doubles to cap the scoring and secure the sweep with a 8-3 win.
