CLEVELAND, Ga. (Feb. 14, 2026) – On Saturday , the Truett McConnell University men's basketball team hosted Spartanburg Methodist College in Appalachian Athletic Conference play, where the Bears secured an 86-67 victory on Senior Day. TMU rises to an overall record of 12-13, 9-8 AAC.

TMU jumped out to a hot start, scoring 48 points in the first half. Senior Omari Joseph led the charge early, scoring 18 of his game-high 27 points in the opening 20 minutes and helping the Bears build a double-digit lead. In the second half, TMU maintained its advantage behind delivered offense and defensive intensity. Jadon Yeh added a strong performance, totaling 15 points with five assists, keeping the SMC defense off balance. Preston Tuggle provided a spark with 10 points, knocking down key jumpers to sustain the Bears lead. Truett McConnell's defense stepped up in the second half as well, limiting the Pioneer's scoring opportunities and forcing turnovers throughout both halves proving capable of securing the win, 86-67.
LEADERS
Joseph led with an outstanding 27 points and 12 rebounds. Yeh followed with 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Tuggle added ten points.
