th conference win with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-16) victory over Montreat (5-17, 3-13 AAC) Tuesday night.
Â
Elizabeth Cook led the offense with her .800 hitting percentage, which included eight kills on ten attacks with no errors. Carline Yeager and
Grace Lamontagne provided double-digit assists while

Â
"My setters and I were clicking and every ball I got tonight was perfect," Cook said. "I really enjoyed being out there on the court tonight."
Â
Truett opened with a 7-3 lead in the first set before the Cavaliers evened things up with a 5-1 scoring run. Down by two, the away team, with the help of three Lady Bear errors, strung four in a row to force a timeout by the home squad. With a 15-12 Montreat advantage, TMU pulled together to force five unanswered and take the lead back.
Â
Another 4-0 run by the Lady Bears gave them a four-point cushion late in the set, and with a 21-19 lead, they scored four of the last six points to go ahead 1-0 in the match.
Â
The home team again caught fire to start the set, as it scored six of the first seven points as Montreat called a timeout. The Cavaliers answered back with a 6-2 run to draw within one, but it couldn't hold the momentum as Truett pushed away and created a three-point gap.
Â
With a 15-15 score, four straight Lady Bear kills, two by
Kaitlyn Roper, made it a four-point game. With the home team up 20-17, a pair of strikes by
Alexis Mills paved the way for a 5-1 run to end the second set.
Â
It was all Truett in the third set with an 11-3 start. Montreat was able to stop the bleeding and match what the home team scored, but it couldn't put together a decisive run, leading to a nine-point TMU set win and the sixth straight-set win in AAC play.
Â
"The vibes are very high, and everyone in the locker room is super excited," Cook said. "Everyone is clicking right now, and the team bond is great."
Â
The Lady Bears conclude action at home for the 2026 season with a Noon start time scheduled vs. Columbia College on Saturday, Oct. 24.
