CLEVELAND, Ga. (January 21, 2026) – On Wednesday, the Truett McConnell University men's basketball team earned an Appalachian Athletic Conference win, defeating Reinhardt University 90–68 at the Benjamin F. Brady Arena. The Bears rise to an overall record of 10-9, 7-4 AAC.

Truett McConnell opened the game scoring first as
Preston Tuggle converted a layup in the paint and
Jadon Yeh followed with a jumper.
Shawn Walker knocked down a three midway through the half to give TMU its first two-possession lead. Reinhardt briefly closed the gap, but back-to-back baskets by
Omari Joseph inside and a three from Yeh helped the Bears regain control. Late in the first half, TMU used a 7–0 run to separate. Tuggle scored on a putback,
Preston Kent finished a fast-break layup, and
Isaac Brito-Vasquez added a jumper to send the Bears into halftime with a 37–32 advantage.
The Bears opened the second half with strong execution, as Walker connected on a corner three and Yeh followed with a drive to the basket. Tuggle continued to score in the post, while
Emanuel Befekadu provided energy off the bench with a steal and layup. Midway through the half, Kent hit a three, pushing TMU's lead past 20. Down the stretch, Truett McConnell maintained its advantage as Kent set up teammates with several assists, and Joseph scored despite defensive pressure near the basket as the Bears closed out the 90–68 win.
LEADERS
Preston Tuggle led TMU with 23 points and nine rebounds.
Jadon Yeh finished with 13 points, including three three-pointers.
Shawn Walker and
Preston Kent each scored 10 points, while
Omari Joseph added nine.
