Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | TMU Athletic Communications

No. 15 TMU remains sharp in AAC play with win over Lions

CLEVELAND, Ga. (September 24, 2025) – On Wednesday, the No. 15 Truett McConnell University's women's soccer team hosted Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent Bryan College, where the Lady Bears secured a dominating win against the Lions, 6-1. TMU rises to an overall record of 7-0-1, 5-0 AAC.

PLAY-BY-PLAY 
In the first half, TMU wasted no time asserting control as Isabella Hodson secured the first goal in the third minute off an assist from Evangelina Seidel (1-0). Just five minutes later, Celiane Pereira doubled the lead (Seidel) remaining in control as both teams entered into the half (2-0). 

The Lions briefly showed life early in the second half with their lone goal in the 47th minute (2-1). Saige Peterson found the net in the 55th minute assisted by Hodson (3-1), who then scored twice more to complete her hat trick (5-1). A late penalty kick goal from Pereira in the 81st minute capped off the game, securing a 6-1 victory for TMU. 

LEADERS 
Isabella Hodson led the way with three goals and one assist. Celiane Pereira followed with two goals,  while Seidel tallied two assists. Saige Peterson finished with one goal and five total shots.

UP NEXT
The Lady Bears will travel to face Milligan University on Saturday, September 27 for an AAC match-up. Kick-off set for 2:00 p.m.
