CLEVELAND, GA (September 23, 2025)
— On Tuesday, the Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team hosted Montreat College (N.C.) for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up, where the Lady Bears secured a dominant 3-0 sweep (25-22, 25-20, 25-13) over the Cavaliers. TMU rises to an overall record of 9-5, 2-0 AAC.

Set one saw TMU on the board first with a kill from
Anna Forbus and a service ace by
Emma Boland. Both teams battled back and forth, trading kills and errors, but the Lady Bears maintained a slim advantage throughout. Key plays from
Grace Meadors,
Faith Clarkson, and
Bailey Franklin helped TMU fend off opposing rallies. Two late serving aces by Boland ultimately sealed set one, 25-22.
Set two started strong for the Lady Bears, with Clarkson and
Logan Beck putting down early kills, paired with Boland adding a service ace to build momentum. Despite the Cavaliers efforts to close the gap, the Lady Bears maintained control thanks to key service aces from
Claudia Yates and
Julia Fisher. TMU closed out the set behind consistent offense and a key service ace from
Caroline Yeager, winning 25-20. Set three featured a fast-paced back-and-forth battle as both teams exchanged kills and errors early on. TMU built momentum with multiple service aces from Boland, while Fisher contributed several key kills. TMU's strong serving and killer offense helped the Lady Bears take the set 25-13.
LEADERS
Clarkson led the way with 10 kills, while Fisher followed with six kills, 12 digs, and two aces. Boland was featured recording an impressive 16 assists and seven aces.
