COLUMBIA, S.C. (September 10, 2025) – On Wednesday, the Truett McConnell University men's soccer team traveled to face Columbia College for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up, were the Bears earned a solid 2–0 victory over the Koalas. TMU rises to an overall record of 3–2, 2-0 AAC.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
In the first half, the Bears struck first in the 34th minute when
Marco Mandelka calmly converted a penalty kick for his first goal of the season, giving TMU a 1–0 advantage. Just minutes before halftime,
Pablo Farrona doubled the lead after finding the back of the net, sending TMU into the break firmly in control.
The second half was a battle of possession and territory, with Columbia applying pressure through corner kicks and shots, but TMU's defense and along with keeper
Euan Brindley, held strong to preserve the clean sheet.
LEADERS
Farrona led the way for the Bears with one goal and three shots, two on goal. Mandelka followed closely behind with one goal while
Willy Wustrich and
Hudson Reynolds were featured recording two shots a piece. Brindley was featured recording seven saves on the evening.

The Bears will travel to Greenville, S.C. on Saturday, September 13 to face Bob Jones University for a non-conference match-up. Kick-off set for 7:00 p.m.
