CLEVELAND, Ga. (March 21, 2025) - On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University men's volleyball team hosted St. Andrews University for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up, where the Bears swept the Knights, 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-21). TMU rises to an overall record of 8-8, 3-6 AAC.Â

In set one TMU was up first with a solo block by
Adam Shuman. Two more kills by Shuman, followed by a serving ace by
Alex Bosman kept TMU in the lead. A four point rally by the Bears, featuring kills by Bosman and Shuman created a seven point margin between the teams. Finals kills by
Caleb Bosveld and
Troy McAlister, ultimately sealed the deal on a set one win, 25-15. Set two started off hot for the Bears with a six-point rally, featuring two kills from Bosman, a solo block by Shuman and a block assist by Shuman and
Jed Bailey. A kill by Bosveld paired with a solo block by
Christopher Zambrana, kept TMU ahead by eight points. Four more kills by Bosman followed by a final kill by Bosveld ultimately concluded set two with a Bears win, 25-18. Set three action began with a kill by Bosveld and a serving ace by Zambrana. Both teams battled as two more kills by Shuman followed by a serving ace by McAlister put the Bears in the lead. SAU attempted to overpower the Bears but four consecutive serving aces by Shuman created the Bears their biggest lead of the set. Final kills by Bosman and Shuman ultimately put set three away with a final score of, 25-21.Â

LEADERS
Alex Bosman led the way for the Bears with 11 kills, eight digs and two serving aces. Shuman followed with 10 kills, four serving aces, five solo blocks and one block assist. Zambrana was featured recording 26 assists on the day.Â
