HATTIESBURG, Miss. (March 11, 2025)—On Monday-Tuesday, the Truett McConnell University men's golf team traveled to compete in the William Carey Collegiate hosted by Williams Carey University, where the Bears finished 11th out of 15 teams with a team score of 919 through three rounds. The Bears were featured besting RV Tennessee Wesleyan University who finished in 12th. 

Most notable, Zacharie Farmer finished in 16th overall out of 81 golfers after recording a 77 in round one, 73 in round two, and a 72 in round three. Luke Akerman was featured recording an impressive performance recording an 83 in round one, and knocking off eight strokes to record a 75 in round two and a 73 in round three.

The Bears will travel on Monday, April 7 - Tuesday, April 8 to compete in the Midway Eagle Invitational hosted by Midway University at the Griffin Gate Resort in Lexington, Kentucky.
