CLEVELAND, Ga. (February 15, 2025) – On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University women's basketball team hosted (RV) Milligan University for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up, where the Lady Bears suffered a tough loss to the Lady Buffaloes, 88-61. TMU falls to an overall record of 12-13, 9-10 AAC.

TMU was up first in the second quarter with six consecutive points by
Alexis Brewster. An eight-point run by the visiting team ultimately pushed MU in the lead forcing the Lady Bears to work hard from behind. A clutch three-pointer by
Madison Aguilera and two goo free throws by
Destinee Lovejoy kept the margin to 10 points as both teams ended the quarter, 23-13. MU continued to increase their lead in the second quarter, creating a large gap on the board. TMU continued to work together with a good layup by
Kayleigh Kelley and two good shots by
Mahalah Stewart. A final layup by
Carsyn Ward in the quarter ultimately finalized first half regulation with a score of 48-29. For the remainder of the game, TMU saw a shift in momentum, scoring 21 points in the fourth quarter. Back-to-back three pointers by Kelley and Winters attempted to give TMU a chance at bridging the gap, but ultimately was unable to change the result of the game, falling to a final score of 88-61.

Brewster led the way for the Bears recording six points, five rebounds and three blocks.
Ava Queen followed with nine points and four rebounds, while Kelley and Stewart had three assist a piece. Lovejoy was featured recording 10 rebounds on the evening.
