CLEVELAND, Ga. (February 15, 2025) - On Saturday, the Truett McConnell University men's basketball team hosted Milligan University for an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up where the Bears recorded a huge win against the Buffaloes, 83-75. TMU 's record rises to 12-12, 9-8 AAC. 

PLAY-BY-PLAY
The Bears started the game off hot with made threes by Cooper Rubio, EJ Smith and Jadon Yeh. Both teams battled, eager to retain the lead when good shots by Smith and Yeh put TMU ahead. A dunk by Preston Tuggle gave the Bears momentum to finish the first half strong, up by one 36-35.

Omari Joseph started the second half for the Bears with two good layups. Shawn Walker followed with a good jump shot putting the Bears ahead by a slim margin. The Bears started to pull away late in the second half with a three pointer by Raul-Arias Ortega. An exciting dunk by Joseph gave the Bears a nine-point lead as final made free throws by Yeh, Smith, and Arias-Ortega sealed the deal on a Bears win, 83-75. 

LEADERS
Smith led the way for the Bears recording 22 points. Yeh followed with a double-double, scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Joseph recorded 16 points and collected nine rebounds.

UP NEXT
The Bears will be back in action on Wednesday February 19, as the travel to face AAC foe, Reinhardt University. Tip-off is set for 7:30p.m.
