CLEVELAND, Ga. (November 22, 2025) – On Saturday, the No. 10 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team made program history by hosting the second round of the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship, where the Lady Bears recorded a 4–2 victory over Cumberland University to advance to the final site location in Pensacola, Florida. TMU currently holds a 19–1–1 record on the year.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
TMU wasted no time setting the tone as Isabella Hodson opened scoring in the fifth minute after connecting on a well-placed assist from Erin Ward to put the Lady Bears up 1–0. Less than ten minutes later, TMU doubled the advantage when Celiane Pereira finished a great chance created by Emma Unterrainer. The Lady Bears continued to apply pressure, and at the 20:50 mark, Peyton Brooks capitalized on a setup from Annabel Trauschke to extend the lead to 3–0 heading into halftime.
In the second half, the Lady Bears continued to control rhythm and possession, despite Cumberland finding two goals to tighten the score line. TMU held firm, working hard to maintain the lead when Hodson secured her second goal of the afternoon in the 82nd minute, sealing and putting to rest the 4–2 win.
LEADERS
Hodson led the way for the Lady Bears recording two goals. Pereira and Brooks followed closely behind with one goal a piece, while Ward, Unterrainer, and Trauschke each had a solo assist.

The Lady Bears will advance to the NAIA National Championship Round of 16 and will face No. 7 Grace College (Ind.) on December 2 at 10:00 a.m. in Pensacola, Florida.
