TMU to Host Cumberland (Tenn.) in Program’s First Home NAIA Second Round

CLEVELAND, Ga. (November 14, 2025) –For the eighth consecutive season, Truett McConnell University women's soccer has earned an at-large berth to the 2025 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship and, for the first time in program history, will serve as an Opening Round host site. The Lady Bears will welcome Cumberland University to Cleveland, Georgia, for a Second-Round match-up on Saturday, November 22.
 
TMU enters the national tournament as the No. 10 overall seed, earning a host position that forms a two-team bracket advancing both teams directly to the second round. Next Saturday's winner will secure a spot at the final site in Pensacola, Florida.
 
The Lady Bears (18-1-1) earned their at-large bid following a dominant regular season and a runner-up finish in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament. TMU closed the year ranked No. 12 in the final NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll. Cumberland (Tenn.)  enters ranked No. 16 after capturing the Mid-South Conference regular season championship and earning a 12-4-1 record.
 
The national field features 40 teams competing in the First and Second Rounds presented by Select Sport America. Matches will be held nationwide on Thursday, Nov. 20, and Saturday, Nov. 22, with winners advancing to Pensacola for the final site beginning December 1. The national champion will be decided on December 8.
 
Saturday's match will be streamed live on BearsTV through Team1 Sports. A stream link will be available on tmubears.com. Tickets for the Second-Round match will go on sale Monday through TMU's official ticketing platform.
