CLEVELAND, Ga. (March 12, 2024) – On Tuesday, the Truett McConnell University baseball team hosted Point University for a non-conference match-up, where the Bears suffered a tough loss to the Skyhawks, 10-0. TMU falls to an overall record of 11-13, while PU rises to a record of 16-7.

The game remained even for the first two innings as good defense by both teams kept the match-up scoreless. TMU earned their chance to make a move against the Skyhawks as singles by
Brodie Genter and
Caleb Adair gave the Bears a chance but was ultimately shot down by sharp defense from the visiting team. The third and fourth inning saw the first action from Point as seven runs were added to the board. TMU continued to fight to change the outcome of the game as back-to-back walks put
Ethan Roberts and
Tanner Griffith on first and second base, ultimately unable to connect and score, falling to the Skyhawks with a final score of 10-0.Â

Adair led the way for the Bears going 3-3 at the plate, contributing three singles, while Roberts was featured going 2-3, with two singles, one walk, and a stolen base.Â
