No. 20 Women's soccer set to compete in 2024 NAIA Nationals Opening Round

CLEVELAND, Ga. (November 18, 2024) – The No. 20 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team are set to compete in the 2024 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championships Opening Round on Saturday, where they will face No. 14 Missouri Valley College in the Marshall Bracket.

The Lady Bears were crowned the undisputed Appalachian Athletic Conference Champions Saturday, November 9th for the third consecutive season, ultimately setting the stage for their seventh straight appearance in the NAIA opening round. TMU concluded AAC tournament play after besting the No. 2 seed Tennessee Wesleyan University in a PK shootout (5-4) after forcing the game into double overtime (1-1). The Lady Bears currently sit at an overall record of 16-1-3.

The Lady Bears have recorded a total of 13 shutout wins this year, while maintaining their spot in the NAIA Top 25 rankings for the entire duration of the season. Over the last seven seasons, TMU has proven a top competitor in the NAIA and conference play as seen by a combined overall record of 117-22-8, 87-2-3 AAC.

The Lady Bears will take on the Vikings on Nov. 23rd at Gregg-Mitchell Field, with kick-off TBA.
