INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 14, 2023) – The No. 20 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team are set to compete in the 2023 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championships Opening Round on Saturday, where they will face No. 10 Marian University in the Indianapolis Bracket.
 
The Lady Bears were crowned the undisputed Appalachian Athletic Conference Champions this past Friday for the second consecutive season, ultimately setting the stage for their sixth straight appearance in the NAIA opening round. TMU concluded AAC tournament play with a 1-0 win against the No. 2 seed Tennessee Wesleyan University, extending their current win streak to nine and increasing their overall record to 17-2-2.
 
The Lady Bears have recorded a total of 11 shutout wins this year, while maintaining their spot in the NAIA Top 25 rankings for the entire duration of the season. Over the last six seasons, TMU has proven a top competitor in the NAIA and conference play as seen by a combined overall record of 100-20-5, 75-2-2 AAC.
