KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (October 11, 2023) – On Wednesday, the Truett McConnell University men's soccer team traveled to compete in an Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up, where the Bears banded together to secure a 5-0 win over the Royals. TMU rises to an overall record of 5-2-2, 3-2-2 AAC, while JU falls to a record of 0-9-2, 0-7-1 AAC.

The first half saw both teams quick to attack. TMU continued to look for a scoring position, when in the 15
thminute a goal by
Oscar Brennan, assisted by
Max Farris, put the Bears on the board (1-0). TMU continued to work hard on offense, taking five more shots, until a goal by
Will Fraser-Gray put the Bears up by two as they headed into the half (2-0).

In the second half, TMU was first to move towards the goal. Eager to increase the score, a corner kick by Brennan in the 61
st minute put the Bears in position as Fraser-Gray found the back of the net once again (3-0). The Bears continued to work hard on both sides of the ball when a penalty kick by Fraser-Gray put TMU up by four in the 75
th minute. TMU scored their final goal of the day by Brennan in 76
th minute, proving capable of stealing a 5-0 win over the Royals.

LEADERS
Fraser-Gray led the way for the Bears with three goals and eight shots, six on goal. Brennan followed with two goals, six shots, all on goal and one assist. Farris recorded one assist and two shots, while
Ogi Vrkic recorded two shots as well.
Ivan Serubiri,
Ciaran Bellis,
Yohan Terrazas and
Toby Berry all recorded one shot apiece. Keeper
Aleksa Lukic tallied seven saves on the evening.
