Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. (Sept. 5, 2022)- The Truett McConnell University men's soccer team traveled to face SCAD University, Savannah, where the Bears inched by with a 1-0 victory. The Bears improve to a record of 2-0-1, while the Bees fall to 1-5.
PLAY BY PLAY
In the first period, the Bears were aggressive from the start with two corner kicks, and one shot on goal. The lone goal of the day came from Will Fraser-Gray in the 22nd minute to give TMU the lead (1-0). The Bears continued to be aggressive, while SCAD had a single shot for the remainder of the period.
In the second period, the Bees outshot the Bears 15-10, but were unable to produce a goal. The Bears played stellar defensive, ultimately resulting in a final score of 1-0.
LEADERS
Fraser-Gray led the way with nine shots, four on goal, and one goal on the evening. Maury Ibarra tallied three shots, with one on goal, followed by Adrian Hofherr with two shots, with two on goal. Goalie Daniel Santema had six goal saves on the day.

The Bears head to Montreat, N.C. on Saturday, Sept. 10 for their first Appalachian Athletic Conference match-up against Montreat College. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
