WEST POINT, Ga. (September 14, 2022)- The No. 20 Truett McConnell University women's soccer team traveled face AAC competitor Point University, where the Lady Bears band together to secure their second conference win of the season (5-1). TMU rises to a record of 3-2-1, 2-0 AAC, while the Skyhawks fall to 1-4, 1-1 AAC.

In the first period, the Lady Bears had their first goal of the game from Nadiia Ivanchenko, assisted by Kristin Beasley, in the second minute (1-0). The second goal came from Sydney League, assisted by Ruffa Meager in the seventh minute, followed by a third goal from Eliska Dvorakova, assisted by League and Beasley (3-0). With a fiery offense, the Lady Bears continued to outshoot the Skyhawks 10-0 and entered the half ahead, 3-0.
In the second period, TMU continued to dominate with a free kick from Ivanchenko in the 55th minute (4-0). Ivanchenko, assisted by League, scored the final goal of the day in the 69th minute to determine the Skyhawks fate (5-0). In the final minutes, the Skyhawks were able to muster a goal of their own, but the Lady Bears were victorious, 5-1.
LEADERS
Ivanchenko led the way with six shots, five on goal, and three goals on the day. League followed with three shots, two on goal, and one goal, while Dvorakova tallied two shots, two on goal, and one goal.

The Lady Bears return to the TMU Soccer Complex on Wednesday, September 21, for another AAC matchup against Johnson University. Kickoff time is set for 7:30 p.m.
