(October 25, 2022) -Â The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team hosted Appalachian Athletic Conference member Columbia College, where the Lady Bears swept the Koalas 3-0 (25-14, 28-26, 25-8). TMU rises to a record of 17-15, 10-7 AAC, while the Koalas fall to 1-22, 1-17 AAC.

In the first set, the Lady Bears got a quick lead with kills from Ranavia Neal and Katie Williams. A three-point rally with kills from Jordan Roberts and Sonya Silecky increased the advantage. The Koalas collected a few points of their own, but a late three-point rally saw kills from Silecky and Roberts to secure set one, 25-14. In set two, TMU was first to strike but the Koalas jumped ahead. A three-point rally from the Lady Bears kept both teams evenly matched. Two kills from Silecky and a kill from Neal sent TMU ahead. A three-point rally from the Koalas created a margin, where three kills from Roberts kept the set in reach for TMU. A late three-point rally from the Lady Bears tied the set, where a kill from Silecky gave TMU the advantage and a kill from Neal sealed the win, 28-26.
In the final set, the Koalas jumped ahead first, but TMU was quick to recover. Two kills from Williams sparked the momentum, followed by a kill from Silecky and Roberts. A five-point rally included a service ace from Rachel Kessler, followed by an eleven-point rally to create a large deficit, with a kill from Neal to once again seal the win (3-0).
LEADERS
Neal lead the way with 13 kills, followed by Roberts and Williams with 12 apiece. Williams and Kessler recorded 12 digs apiece, along with Silecky with 11 of her own. Brooklynn Brock recorded 42 assists on the evening.

The Lady Bears hit the road to Johnson University on Friday, October 28 to face AAC competitor Johnson University. Match time is set for 6:30 p.m.
