Box Score WALESKA, Ga. (October 19, 2022)- The Truett McConnell University women's soccer team traveled to face Appalachian Athletic Conference rival Reinhardt University, where the Lady Bears bested the No. 1 seeded Eagles to remain perfect in AAC play. TMU rises to a record of 11-2-1, 10-0 AAC, while the Eagles fall to 10-4, 10-1 AAC.
PLAY BY PLAY
In the first period, the Lady Bears produced their first shot of the day in the first two minutes of play, followed by two shots on goal from Eliska Dvorakova and Brianna Hernandez. Two more shots on goal from Dvorakova sparked the momentum and a penalty kick from Nadiia Ivanchenko set the stage. In the 29th minute, Ivanchenko scored TMU's first goal of the day for an early lead (1-0). The Eagles responded immediately with their lone goal of the day in the 30th minute (1-1). The Lady Bears responded with multiple shots on goal and went into the half tied (1-1).
In the second period, Dvorakova started with the Lady Bears second goal to give TMU the advantage (2-1). The Eagles worked quick with shots on goal, but proved unsuccessful. TMU had three consecutive shots on goal to keep the momentum rolling but were unable to add to their lead. A corner kick from Dvorakova closed the game, giving the Lady Bears a 2-1 victory over the Eagles.
LEADERS
Dvorakova led the way with eight shots, six on goal, and one goal. Ivanchenko followed with two shots, two on goal, and one goal. Sydney League recorded two shots.

The Lady Bears return to the TMU Soccer Complex on Saturday, October 22 for an AAC show-down against Bluefield College. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
