"All of the guys played great this weekend and I am extremely proud of each of them for how they battled on the golf course," said Head Coach Matt Smith. "We had a great showing on Saturday after struggling on the front nine, but finished strong shooting 12 under on the back nine to shoot six under for the day."
"We came out on Sunday with a better start but faced some adversity throughout the round. We finished the day four over as a team to take second place in the tournament that had a very strong field. I'm so proud of these guys and the way they handled themselves on the golf course. We have a very special team this year and I am looking forward to the success that is to come throughout this season!"
Up next, the Bears will travel to Palm Harbor, Fla. for the Invite at Innisbrook Monday, Sept. 27-Tuesday, Sept. 28.
