CLEVELAND, Ga. (Mar. 22, 2021) – Michael Osborne, of the No. 17 Truett McConnell University men's golf team, was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference golfer of the week for the week ending Monday.
 
Osborne let the Bears to a runner-up finish at the Golden Tigers Invitational last Monday. Day two was canceled due to weather, ultimately resulting in Osborne's first career individual win. Osborne led the deep field of 57 golfers shooting a 71 in windy conditions.
 
According to Golfstat, the sophomore ranks 146th in the NAIA with an adjusted scoring average of 76.07. Osborne also carded his lowest round of 71 in February at the ChampionsGate Spring Invitational when he shot a total of 224 for the tournament.
 
Osborne and the Bears' AAC Direct Qualifier will take place April 19 – April 20 in Adairsville, Georgia.
