Box Score 3 CLEVELAND, Ga. (Mar. 13, 2021) – The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team picked up three straight sweeps on Friday and Saturday to open their spring season to improve to 17-5, 14-5 AAC on the year.
TMU defeated Milligan University 25-11, 25-19, 25-21 and Bob Jones University 25-16, 25-16, 25-18 on Friday at Bob Jones, and Toccoa Falls College on Saturday inside the TMJ Volleyball/Wrestling Arena 25-22, 25-19, 25-15.
MATCH ONE STATS | TMU 3, MU 0
Senior
Abby Maxwell recorded a double-double of 32 assists, 11 digs and four block assists. Freshman
Sonya Silecky led the offense with 11 kills, while also recording seven digs.
Ranavia Neal had nine kills and four blocks, while
Jordan Roberts and
Bethany Ross added six kills apiece. Roberts also had four blocks. Senior
Hannah Conners also had 11 digs, while Ross,
Madyson Dunn and Deomi Valums had four apiece. Valums and Kessler each led with two service aces.

Maxwell recorded another double-double of 32 assists and 10 digs with two block assists. Roberts led offensively with 12 kills and had two blocks assists. Neal had 10 kills and three blocks, while Ross had nine kills. Silecky added seven kills and led with 13 digs. Conners followed with 12 digs. Kessler and Silecky each led with two service aces.
MATCH THREE | TMU 3, 0 TFC
After both teams went back and forth with a tied score at 22-22 in game one, freshman McKay Hyatt ultimately sealed the win with a kill fresh off the bench (25-22). Game two was much like game one until a Roberts kill fueled a 7-2 scoring run that allowed TMU to get out front in route to win the second set of the night on a Neal kill (25-19). The Lady Bears did not trail for a single point throughout the entire third set. TMU ultimately secured the third sweep of the weekend on a 3-0 closing run, which was sparked by a Ross kill (25-15).
LEADERS
Overall, TMU dominated in the kills column (40-26). Roberts carried the offense with 12 kills and had two blocks, while Neal and Silecky added eight kills apiece. Conners led with 13 digs, while Maxwell had nine and Silecky added eight. Maxwell was also credited 36 assists and added two blocks. Dunn led with three service aces, while also tallying five digs.

TMU will travel to Point University on Monday, March 15, for a scrimmage before traveling to Toccoa Falls College on Wednesday, March 17, at 6:00 p.m., for another nonconference matchup.
