Box Score BLUEFIELD, Va. (October 24, 2021) – The Truett McConnell University women's soccer team traveled to to face Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent, Bluefield College, where the Lady Bears came with an aggression to get back on track. TMU dominated with a score of 13-1, increasing to a record of 13-2, 10-1 AAC, while the Rams fell to a record of 0-13-1, 0-10-1 AAC.
PLAY-BY-PLAY
In the first period, Hannah Logue, assisted by Ruffa Meger, scored the first goal of the game within the first two minutes of play (1-0). Logue scored her second goal in the third minute (2-0), while Eliska Dvorakova took her chance in the ninth minute, scoring goal number three (3-0). Lyndsey Darden found the back of the net off a penalty kick in the 15th minute (4-0), followed by Dvorakova, Brianna Hernandez and Lindsey Fowler, who each added a goal of their own, to make the score of 7-0 at the half.
The Lady Bears did not let up as Logue had her third goal of the day in the 46th minute (8-0). Dvorakova, Ashley Johnson, Amayia Lukie, Emily Crowder and Ashley McCown each tallied a goal apiece in the second period to give the Lady Bears 13 goals on the day (13-0). The Lady Rams were able to score their only goal of the day in the 76th minute, ultimately not enough as TMU left victorious with a final score of 13-1.
LEADERS
The Lady Bears outshot the Rams 29-2, with 24 shots on goal.
Dvorakova and Logue led the way offensively with three shots, three on goal and three goals. Darden and Fowler had three shots, two on goal, with a goal apiece. Lukie, Hernandez and Johnson individually followed with two shots, two on goal and a single goal. Goalie Victoria Moore had one goal save on the day.
