Box Score CLEVELAND, Ga. (October 1, 2021) - The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team competed Friday, inside the TMU Volleyball/Wrestling Arena, where they swept Kentucky Christian University in three sets (25-17, 25-14, 25-14). The Lady Bears increased to a record of 8-11, 5-3 AAC, while the Knights fell to a record of 2-11, 1-6 AAC.

The Lady Bears had another night of dominating on offensive, which began in set one with a five-point run, sparked by a Ranavia Neal kill. The Knights were capable of adding points of their own, but kills from Elizabeth Franklin, Bethany Ross and Virginia Hudson contributed to TMU's 25-17 victory in set one. A service ace from Deomi Valmus sparked the second set for the Lady Bears. TMU increased their lead with kills by Jordan Roberts, Sonya Silecky and Franklin. A five-point rally with a service ace from Madyson Dunn secured the Lady Bears second set win of the night with a score of 25-14. The Knights gained speed in set three to earn a four point lead, but four service aces from Taylor Roland put TMU back on top. The Lady Bears added a service ace from Valmus and two kills from Roberts to steal a 25-14 victory and secure the match win with a score of 3-0.
LEADERS
Rachel Kessler led with an impressive 17 digs and four assists. Roberts and Franklin individually tallied eight kills, while Neal had six kills, Hudson had four kills and Silecky had three kills with 10 digs. Valmus recorded 15 assists and seven digs, Morgan Cox had 11 assists with six digs and Roland had four service aces and six digs.
