CLEVELAND, Ga. (Nov. 9, 2020) – After the Bulldogs snapped the Lady Bears' 10-game winning streak on Friday, the Truett McConnell University women's volleyball got back on track with an Appalachian Athletic Conference sweep over Milligan University inside the TMU Volleyball/Wrestling Arena (25-22, 25-18, 25-17). The Lady Bears improved to 12-3, 12-3 AAC on the season, while the Buffs fell to 12-5, 12-5 AAC. TMU, in fact, handed the Buffs their first loss in 10 matches.

It came down to the wire in the first set with the game tied at 20-20, but a pair of
Bethany Ross kills with a
Ranavia Neal kill put the Lady Bears in winning position (23-20). In the end it was another Neal kill that sealed the first win of the night (25-21). Game two saw the Lady Bears get out front by as much as 11 (20-9). Although Milligan rallied to eventually get back within five (23-18), the Lady Bears held the visiting Buffs at point 18 and sealed the second win of the night on a
Jordan Roberts kill (25-18). After 10-10 in the third set, the Lady Bears pulled ahead for good and never looked back as they claimed their sixth AAC sweep of the season.

TMU outshined the Buffs in the kills column in all but one set, including 15 kills in the third game, in comparison to Milligan's seven. Individually,
Abby Maxwell collected a total of 38 assists, which allowed her to claim her 3,000th career assist. Neal and Ross led the offense with 11 kills apiece, while freshman
Sonya Silecky followed with 10.

Roberts added seven kills and two block assists, while Maxwell led with four blocks. Neal added three blocks, including two singles. Senior
Hannah Conners led with 13 digs, while freshman
Rachel Kessler followed with 10 and junior
Taylor Roland added nine.
