BLUEFIELD, Va. (Nov. 30, 2020) – In the fourth game of the season, the Truett McConnell University men's basketball team fell Monday evening to Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Bluefield College on the road with a final score of 81-64. The Bears are now sitting at a record of 2-2, 0-2 AAC, while the Rams rose to 2-4, 2-2 AAC.

Three Bears were featured shooting double figures on the day; sophomores Marlon Allen (17), Darius Tisby (14) and junior Enocka Franky (11).

PLAY BY PLAY
The Rams put pressure on from the start with an eight-point lead (0-8), but a shot from Allen in the paint followed by two free throws put the Bears on the board (3-10). Senior Xavier Latore scored off a shot in the paint as well after an offensive board, decreasing the gap to only six points (6-12) but the Rams kept the momentum earning a 15-point lead at the half (26-41).

The second half saw the Bears hot off the tracks with a shot in the paint from Franky in the first 30 seconds, followed by a shot from Tisby only 15 seconds after (30-41). TMU added pressure of their own, only two points shy of breaking even with the Rams in the second half (38-40), but due to Bluefield's early lead, the game was ultimately won by the home team with a final score of 64-81.
