CLEVELAND, Ga. (Oct. 22, 2020) – The Truett McConnell University women's volleyball team picked up their fifth straight win on Thursday evening with a dominating Appalachian Athletic Conference sweep over Columbia College (25-8, 25-18, 25-21). The Lady Bears improved to 6-2, 6-2 AAC on the season, while the Fighting Koalas fell to 0-7, 0-7 AAC.

The Lady Bears opened up the match with a 7-0 scoring run but most notable, TMU recorded a 9-0 scoring run to get out front 22-9, which ultimately proved to put the game out of reach (25-8). The second set was similar to the first with TMU maintaining the lead the whole way. Although Columbia got within one point, the Lady Bears pulled off the second win of the night by seven (25-18). TMU recorded another 7-0 run in the third set to gain enough momentum to eventually clinch the AAC sweep (25-21).
