CLEVELAND, Ga. (March 30, 2019) – The Truett McConnell University women's lacrosse team hosted Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Tennessee Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon for their final home game of the season. The Bears fell 18-3 to a top ranked team in the AAC.
The Bulldogs, who are receiving votes in the latest NAIA national top 10 poll, scored three goals in the first five minutes of the game but senior Mckenzie Noggle scored an unassisted goal at 25:01 in response (1-3). However, Tennessee Wesleyan scored nine more times to lead by 11 at the half (1-12). The Lady Bears went on to hold the Bulldogs to six goals in the second half all the while scoring two themselves.
Sophomore Cameron Lee found the back of the net on a free position shot (2-14) and Holly Foster netted TMU's third goal, also on a free position shot (3-16).
Holly F. led the way with seven shots, five on goal, while Noggle followed with four shots, three on goal. Freshman Christian Roberts tallied a total of 10 saves on the day.
