DAYTON, Tenn. (Feb. 14, 2019) – After defeating Bryan College inside the Benjamin F. Brady Arena in January, the Truett McConnell University men's basketball team lost on the road to the Lions on Thursday night 89-68. The Bears dropped to 15-13, 9-12 AAC on the year while Bryan improved to 15-13, 12-10 AAC.

The Lions got out front in the first six minutes of the game and the Bears were unable to steal the lead the rest of the way. Bryan led by as many as 11 points in the first 20 minutes of regulation but the Bears worked to cut the deficit to nine points (32-41) heading into halftime. Bryan shot above 50% from the field and from 3-point territory in their home arena in the first half.
Bryan was capable of carrying over the momentum into the second half to lead by as many as 24 points. The closest the Bears got to the Lions was 15 in the final 15 minutes of the game.
LEADERS
Sophomore Myles Monroe led with 15 points and two steals while junior Kai Lambert and freshman Enocka Franky followed with 10 points apiece. Senior Filipe Goncalves was credited with five assists
